It’s been a while since I posted on here so I thought I’d update you all in my journey.
My baby has just turned 1 and she weaned herself off by the time she was 10 months. I have to say I’m feeling rather sad about the situation as I’ll never experience breastfeeding again. No more babies for me.
Just lately I have been thinking about boosting my milk supply back up as I’d like to store some breast milk up to either donate to premie’s or sell on. Like I’ve said, over and over breast milk is full of goodness and I’m not willing to give up my liquid gold just yet!
The plan is to pump 15 minutes a side every 4 hours to get the supply going again. Hardwork around the 3 and 1 year olds but will be so much worth my time.
I’m not sure how long you can keep a supply going but I’m willing to do it as long as possible.
Lacking a bit this evening. More pumping tomorrow (y)
A Tale of Liquid Gold
I have recently found out the name for the fetish.
A sexual fetish for lactating breasts and breastfeeding
I didn’t realise that there was such a big community out there for this fetish. There are forums, chatrooms, porn sites and even blogs about Lactophilia. It seems to go from men/women watching liquid gold being expressed, to wet nursing adults!
I suppose the curious question would be why? Why do they have a fetish for this? Did their childhood experiences or anything in particular happen in their life to cause this? Were they breastfed when they were younger? Who knows.. I would really love to know the answers but generally everyone lives differently so I doubt there would be a definite answer.
I have been in contact with someone for two days now. We have exchanged many emails, texts and even calls. When we first started talking they wanted to buy my freshly pumped milk from me. After many chats we come to the conclusion they would actually like to watch the milk I am selling to them be expressed in person. I have no problems with this. I have expressed milk in front of family and friends in the past anyway so I am quite comfortable with this. Money still needs to be discussed but it looks as if this will be going ahead. Wish me luck!
A Tale of Liquid Gold
I have someone travelling quite some distance to come and buy 3oz from Me. They want it freshly pumped in to a milk bag. Not sure how I feel about meeting them in person but we will see how it goes.
As it goes for the contact sending me bottles to fill, I still haven’t heard back from them. I am starting to think maybe that one won’t be going anywhere. I have emailed them this evening to see if they are still interested.
I also had someone else contact me this afternoon looking to buy. They asked if I’d be willing to pump in front of them for a bit of extra money. I’m inclined to say yes – won’t make any difference to me.
Lastly, I am still in contact with the person wanting to wet nurse. We have been exchanging emails for a couple of weeks now. We are going to meet in person for a chat only. I’m very curious to know what goes through these people’s minds.
A Tale of Liquid Gold
Although I have had many replies, mainly from grown men who want to suckle from the source, I still haven’t made any sales on my excess milk supply.
One contact is looking into sending me bottles to fill. He is bidding on an item on eBay! The plan is for him to send me the bottles, I fill them, then send them back. What ever he gets up to with the liquid gold is up to him, as long as I haven’t got to know about it.
What I’ve found in my experience of researching buying/selling of breastmilk is although most sites are set up for Mums, they also feature categories specifically for “Men wanting milk”. They aren’t all creepy people who want to fulfill a fetish either, there are gym buffs looking for benefits of breast milk for muscle gain and even others who are unwell and looking to gain strength. Even though there are not any proven benefits from human milk in adults, it is still a very popular market on the internet.
Aswell as selling breastmilk, there are posts requesting donations. I agree, the gift of giving to a newborn or a premie for whatever reason would be the ideal option. Unfortunately this is alot harder process. Both need health checks but when donating it is really hard to find places to take the milk etc. Also, needing the money, I’m doing what I feel is best for me and my family.
I’ll update again when things move forward. Please share as well as give your comments, good or bad below. Thank you.
A Tale of Liquid Gold
I am now in contact with two people. One of which wants to buy fresh bottled milk from me and the other has asked from the source!!
Now, pumping into a bottle and posting it same day/ next day delivery was never an issue. I am happy in doing so. I have an excess milk supply from feeding my 6 month old as I mentioned so why wouldn’t I sell it on? I need the extra cash is the main reason but at the same time, breast milk is rich in nutrition and serves many benefits. This contact may even want a regular supply. Liquid gold will help me provide for my family – who can judge that? Well… many people would.
So, my concerns for the second contact is how curious I am to know why an adult would want to experience this? Now many people would be quick to judge and even suggest there is something sexual about this experience and most of the time this would be true. There are fetishes for everything out there. Keeping an open mind, I responded to my contact. Exchanging many emails and getting to know a bit about the contact I learnt this is not an experience that they would find sexual in any way. It’s just an obsession over being curious about the experience.
I must say I never thought I would ever consider something like this. And the controversy this would cause would be huge. I’m hoping my readers and followers could share some feedback on their opinions on this sort of thing? I can imagine there would be more bad responses than good?
I look forward to hearing your feedback.
A Tale of Liquid Gold.
So, I never imagined in a billion years that I would ever be heading down the track of selling my breast milk. When times are hard and you have a family to provide for I guess you really do rise to the challenge of making money in any means possible. Some people will judge, others will keep and open mind. I have an excess of milk from breastfeeding my baby, so why shouldn’t this be put to some use? After all, breast is best.
I found myself on the ever so popular website of “Craigslist” to which brought an ad to my eye. “Breast milk wanted”. Now I never thought for a moment that people would be looking to buy this over the internet. I have heard of milk being donated for other babies and such but never this. So I decided some research was in order. I typed in “selling breast milk” in to my search engine and to my surprise the first link was for a website of a community that buy and sell breast milk. Curiosity got the better of me and off I went.
The webpage “Only the Breast” is a friendly community with a range of sellers and buyers posting on there with their specific needs. The buyers are all for many different reasons, be it milk for health benefits, milk for babies and even milk for the curious. Before I knew it, I was signed up to the site and posted my first sellers post. The shock of having a reply in the matter of hours was astounding. Who would have thought there would have been such a demand for this product?! This truly is LIQUID GOLD!
I am in contact with a potential customer at the moment and hoping something will come of it. I am going to keep a blog here as much as possible to shed light on a business that no one seems to know about and so if you’d like to follow, you can track my progress on such matters.
I hope you join me on my journey of A Tale of Liquid Gold.
